Here’s how a ‘nice lady’ in Aflac’s customer
service center changed the way Illinois poli-
cyholder Bonnie Waters thinks of insurance
companies.
WOW! I will not only tell my employer — and you — howmuch I
love Afac — but I will tell the whole world!
I have four Afac insurance policies: Afac accident insurance
policy, Afac cancer policy, Afac short-term disability policy,
and Afac hospital intensive care policy. Your response to the
twoWellness claims I submit every year has always been very
timely and very much appreciated.
Back in February, I broke my arm — the humerus bone just
below the ball and socket. After I shoveled out my driveway, I
had turned to put my huge shovel back by my front door. My
boot slipped on a tiny patch of ice, and I fell towards the right
while I was gripping the shovel and this caused the blade to
slam into the driveway which jolted my arm and thus causing
the break.
Dumb accident — but they happen, and this is why you never
know when you are going to need help!
Because I had applied for these policies several years earlier, I
didn’t remember all the details about the policies, and because
I was not only in a lot of pain but was soon going to physical
therapy several days a week — I didn’t call Afac right away.
When I fnally decided to call Afac for information, I was so
impressed with the helpfulness of your customer service folks!
The nice lady explained everything and said she would send
out a claim form for me to fll out and return with appropriate
documentation.
Well — I am sitting here in utter amazement! I gathered all the
documentation I needed from the emergency room, my doctor,
my employer, physical therapists, etc. I sent in the claim forms,
expecting months to go by before a multitude of committees, etc.
examined all the documentation and made a decision.
I was stunned when, in record-breaking time, a beneft check
arrived in my mailbox. Afac rocks!
Thank you so much for being here when we need you — and for
your extremely quick turn-around time in processing claims. I
am so grateful that my employer made Afac insurance policies
available to their employees!
