the Afac study fnds that nearly half of
companies (43%) estimate their aver-
age productivity loss stemming from
employees’ concern over personal is-
sues is between 11 and 30 percent. Pro-
ductivity losses related to personal and
family health problems cost U.S. em-
ployers $1,685 per employee per year, or
$225.8 billion annually.
